TERLIFORM Injection

TERLIFORM Injection contains Terlipressin 0.1 mg/mL, a vasopressin analogue used in selected hospital and critical-care situations involving significant portal-systemic or circulatory abnormalities.

Terlipressin produces vasoconstriction through its activity at vasopressin receptors and has an established role in the management of acute bleeding from oesophageal varices. It is also used in selected adults with hepatorenal syndrome with rapid reduction in kidney function, according to the applicable approved indication and prescribing information.

The IV injectable formulation is particularly relevant to critical-care, hepatology, gastroenterology and emergency hospital settings, where treatment requires appropriate clinical assessment and monitoring. Current labeling for terlipressin emphasizes careful assessment of oxygenation and volume status because serious respiratory and ischemic complications can occur.
