PYROVEX Injection contains Glycopyrrolate, an anticholinergic agent formulated for parenteral administration in appropriate clinical and perioperative settings. Glycopyrrolate reduces the effects of acetylcholine at peripheral muscarinic receptors and is particularly relevant to anesthesia and procedural care.
Glycopyrrolate injection is used in anesthesia to help reduce salivary, tracheobronchial and pharyngeal secretions, as well as gastric secretion volume and acidity. It may also be used during anesthesia to help manage certain surgically or drug-induced vagal reflex-associated effects and to protect against peripheral muscarinic effects associated with cholinergic medicines used for reversal of non-depolarizing neuromuscular blockade.
PYROVEX is supplied in a 10 × 1 mL ampoule presentation and is positioned within the Farlex Critical Care injectable portfolio for hospital, anesthesia and perioperative requirements. Administration should be performed by qualified healthcare professionals in accordance with the approved prescribing information.
