FURSOZEN Injection contains Frusemide 10 mg/mL, a loop diuretic formulated for parenteral administration. The product is supplied as 10 × 2 mL ampoules and is intended for intramuscular or slow intravenous administration, as specified on the product presentation.
Furosemide injection is used in clinical management of edema associated with heart failure, renal disease and cirrhosis of the liver. It is also used as adjunctive therapy in acute pulmonary edema, where intravenous administration can provide a rapid diuretic effect.
As a parenteral loop diuretic, FURSOZEN can be used in hospital and institutional settings where injectable diuretic therapy is clinically indicated, particularly when oral administration is not practical or when a more rapid diuretic response is required.
Furosemide therapy requires appropriate clinical assessment because excessive diuresis can result in fluid and electrolyte depletion. Dose and administration should therefore be individualized according to the patient's clinical condition and the approved prescribing information.
