MOXIKIP-CV Plus Dry Syrup

MOXIKIP-CV Plus Dry Syrup is an oral antibiotic formulation containing Amoxicillin and Potassium Clavulanate, presented as 642.9 mg/5 mL for reconstitution into an oral suspension. The product is supplied in a 50 mL bottle with sterile water and features a strawberry flavour for pediatric oral administration.

The formulation combines amoxicillin, a penicillin-class antibacterial agent, with clavulanate, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination helps extend the antibacterial activity of amoxicillin against susceptible beta-lactamase-producing bacteria.

Amoxicillin and clavulanate oral suspension is used for selected bacterial infections, including acute bacterial otitis media, sinusitis, lower respiratory tract infections, skin and skin-structure infections, and urinary tract infections, when the causative organisms are susceptible.

MOXIKIP-CV Plus is particularly suited to pediatric oral antibiotic requirements, where a reconstituted suspension provides a practical dosage form. Pediatric dosing is determined primarily according to the amoxicillin component, with the regimen selected according to the child's age, weight, infection severity and clinical indication.

The product should be used only for appropriate bacterial infections and according to qualified medical advice. As with other beta-lactam antibiotics, appropriate consideration should be given to previous hypersensitivity reactions to penicillins or other beta-lactam antibiotics.
